The upcoming Bond movie titled, Quantum Of Solace, is made as an sequel to the last Bond movie, Casino Royale. This sequel is written by the writers that wrote Casino Royale, Paul Haggis, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade. Of course, Daniel Craig is back to once again, do the role of James Bond.

The movie is based on the short story, Quantum of Solace, by Ian Fleming, which is inspired by a true story in an anecdote told to him by his friend, Blanche Blackwell. Fleming gave Blackwell wrist watch as gift, when the story got published. Quantum Of Solace, was first published in the Modern Woman magazine, November 1959.

The theme for this James Bond movie is environmentalism. And the plot for Quantum Of Solace, takes place about an hour, after that Casino Royale ended, when Bond has captured Mr. White. Mr. White then reveals that he, through his organisation Green Planet has infiltrated, both the MI6 and CIA. Bonds travels to Haiti, to find a traitor to MI6. In Haiti, he meet and join forces with Camille (Olga Kurylenko), that also want to see Green dead.

The bad guy in Quantum Of Solace is, Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric). Greene is a dirty businessman that is planning to, under the cover as an environmentalist, take control of one of the world’s most important natural resources.

Bond’s task to stop Greene and to revenge Vesper Lynd’s death, takes him to Austria and South America and he is always one step ahead of CIA, the terrorists and M.

Quantum Of Solace is directed by Marc Forster and will first have premier in the UK the 31 October 2008 and on the 7 November 2008, it will be released in the United States.

Morgan Freeman and Angelina Joline is starring in the movie Wanted, together they will try to turn a regular, looser, into a full feathered killing machine. Sounds promising, doesn’t it? If you watch the trailer, it certainly does!

The movie is about, Wesley Gibson ( James McAvoy), that is living a boringly life as a regular middle class looser, without accomplish anything, significant. He has a cheating girlfriend and an unreasonable boss, everything he needs, really, to live a pathetic, ordinary life. On top of that, his absent father, dies, in a strange accident. However, one day he meet the deadly sexy woman, Fox (Angelina Jolie) and from that moment, his life is about to change, radically.

Wes, learns that his father, was an elite assassin and Fox recruits him into the secret society of assassins, that his father belonged to, in order to revenge his fathers death.

Fox together with the leader of the society, Sloan (played by the always great, Morgan Freeman) starts to train Wes and to discover up his killer instincts, that are buried within him.

As always, with people which lives changes, that abrupt, Wes looses his touch with reality. First he enjoys the new, deadly and powerful skills and his role as an enforcer of justice. However, after a while he get to see another side of the assassin society and slowly he realize that, no one, beside himself, control his own destiny.

Wanted is directed by the Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, that is most known for the vampire hit, Night Watch, that he both wrote and directed.

The movie Wanted is released June 27, 2008.

The Dark Knight The sequel to Batman Begins (2005), is titled The Dark Night and is going to be released on 18 July 2008. Once again, Christian Bale, dresses up in the dark batman suite, to be directed by Christopher Nolan, like in Batman Begins.

The Dark Knight takes place within a year, after the events from Batman Begins. James Gordon (Gary Oldman) and the district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), join forces and starts to clean up Gotham City from the criminals. However, a new mysterious criminal, named Joker (Heath Ledger), appears in Gotham City and with him, a new wave of criminal chaos follows.

The main fight in, The Dark Knight, is between Batman and The Joker, a fight that turns out to become very personal for Bruce Wayne A.K.A Batman. The Joker forces Batman to confront everything he believes and to enhance his weapon and technology, in order to stop him, like, the Batpod, a recreation of the Batcycle and a redesigned Batsuite.

Besides The Joker, The Dark Knight also gives us some well known characters, like Two Face (Aaron Eckhart) and the The Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy). The Dark Knight, gives us a little love drama, between Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent and the beautiful, Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

Also, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman is back to reprise th roles. Michael as as Bruce Wayne’s butler, Alfred Pennyworth and Freeman as Batman’s own version of Bond’s Q, Lucius Fox.

Imagine that you wake up one morning, your start doing breakfast and everything seems normal, at first. Suddenly, your partner tells you that he cannot see, his blind. Then you see that the whole city and all people around you, also are turning blind. You, then see the effects, that has on the community and witness how the society, starts to collapse.

That is the core of the movie Blindness, that is based on, the Nobel Prize Winner, Jose Saramago’s novel, with the same name. The book tells the story how an epidemic plague of blindness is spread throughout a city and describes how the society starts to fall apart, from the effects of everybody turning blind.

You get to witness how the social network stops to function, how families are separated and how violence and diseases spreads, throughout the community.

At first, Jose was reluctant to sell the movie rights, since it is a violent book about social degradation and rape and he didn’t want it to get into the wrong hands. However, Niv Fichman, the producer and Don McKellar, the screenwriter, convinced, Jose Saramago, to sell the movie rights.
The plot of the movie follows the book, rather well. Following the doctors wife, played by Julianne Moore, the only one that can still see and her husband, the doctor, played by Mark Ruffalo. Mark, wore contact lenses, so that he wouldn’t see while he was acting. The film focus on how the people would try to overcome the horrific effects, the blindness, has on the society they live in.

Blindness is directed by Fernando Meirelles, that also directed the Oscar winning movie, The Constant Gardener.

The movie blindness, will have a limited release in the U.S., on 12 September 2008.

Blindess Movie Trailer:

Quarantine, seems with a quick glance, resemble the movie Cloverfield. As in Cloverfield, the events, in the movie, has already taken place and we get to follow it, through a video recording.

In Quarantine, a TV-reporter, Angela, played by Jennifer Carpenter and her cameraman, played by Steve Harris are covering the night shift on a fire station in L.A. You might recognize, Jennifer Carpenter, from the TV-series Dexter, with Michael C. Hall, where she played Dexter’s sister.

They follows the firemen, to an apartment building, to what seems to be an ordinary routine. Well, of course, things develop to me anything then routine. When they arrive to the apartment building, they notice that the police, are already there and they also hear blood curling screams, from one of the apartments.

They found out that the woman, living in that apartment, has been infected with an unknown, disease. When, other residents, in the building, is attacked, they all try to escape from the building, only to find out that the CDC, as put the building under quarantine.

The news reporter, cameraman and the other residents discovers that the phones, Internet and television has been cut off, making them trapped inside, the building, together with the infected woman. Also, the officials, doesn’t seems to be willing to help them, either.

At last, the quarantine, is lifted and the only evidence, to what has been going on inside the building, is the video material, from the television crew… We can see what was on the video material in the theaters on October 17.

Quarantine Movie Trailer:

Frontier(s), a French horror movie, directed by Xavier Gens, that has received a NC-17 rating for it’s sadistic and intense violence. The movie has been described as French, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The movie follows a gang of criminals, that is lead by the young woman, Yasmina, played by Karina Testa. The gang plans to conduct a robbery, while there is disturbance in a French city. However, the robbery don’t goes as well as they had planned and they get chased by the local police. They manage to escape the police and decides to split up, to increase their chances of escaping the town, unnoticed.

They decide that they would later gathers at an inn, near the Luxembourg border. The inn is located in the middle of nowhere, and is run by a family. The nightmare comes to life, when the family appears to be sadistic Nazis, with a taste for human flesh and an agenda of their own, to create a new world order. With a breeding plan, of their own, that includes an abducted little girl. A bloody nightmare begins for the gang, while they must find a way to escape from the torture and mayhem, that the Nazi family puts them through.

Frontier(s) was first to be featured on the annual horror film festival, Horrorfest 2007, but when the movie received it’s NC-17 rating, it was decided that the movie would go up on the theaters in the U.S., 9 May 2008. The director, Xavier Gens, was also the director of the action movie, Hitman.
