The pang brothers presents a remake of their debut film, from 1999, Bangkok Dangerous,
that followed a fearless and deaf-mute assassin. In this remake, with Nicolas Cage as the assassin, the character is not deaf-mute, instead the pang brothers decided to let another character, in the movie, be deaf-mute.
This Action crime thriller will be released on August 22, 2008. Nicolas Cage plays an assassin, Joe, that lives a lonely and anonymous life. When he get a contract to kill 4 enemies of the criminal boss, Surat, Joe’s life gets turned upside down. Joe hires a local boy, Kong, to help him out on his mission. Joe, in order to cover his tracks, plans to kill Kong, after the mission.
However, without knowing it at first, he starts to mentoring the young street punk Kong. At the same time, he find himself drawn to a local girl that is working in a shop. This takes the lone wolf assassin, Joe, with the guard down and he starts to question his way of life. To bad that the ruthless crime boss, Surat, have decided that it’s time to do some cleaning…
Nicolas Cage, besides playing the lead, also produced Bangkok Dangerous.
