Gran Torino might be the last role that the popular 78 years old actor/director will ever do. Clint Eastwood said in an interview with USA Today that the role as the stubborn and iron willed war veteran, Walt Kowalski, probably will be his last film role.
The plot for Gran Torino is about Walt Kowalski and how he tries to reform his Asian neighbor Hmong, played by Lee Mong Vang, after he had tried to steal Kowalski’s car. The only problem is that soon he has a whole gang after him, that just wants to bring him down.
After watching the trailer for Gran Torino, I would say that it’s a drama/action movie with a small touch of humor, on top of it.
Clint is also directing Gran Torino and the movie is planned to go up on the theaters in December 2008.
