Now it’s time for another character from the Marvel universe to enter the silver screen. It’s Paramount Pictures, together with, Marvel Studios that brings the super hero Iron Man to the theaters on May 2, 2008
Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr, is a billionaire industrialist that is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. However, as the genius inventor that Tony Stark is, he builds a powerful suite of armor and escapes.
When he stumbles over a plot to take over the world, he fashion himself in his suite and becomes iron man, to fight the plot and rescue the world. Also starring in the movie are, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, Samuel L. Jackson and Terrence Howard.
The directory of Iron Man, Jon Favreau, decided to give the movie a serious tone, and has described the movie as a kind of independent film-espionage thriller crossbreed between; Superman, with a touch of a novel by Tom Clancy, James Bond, RoboCop and Batman Begins. We have to wait until May 2, to see if he succeeded with that.
