Quarantine, seems with a quick glance, resemble the movie Cloverfield. As in Cloverfield, the events, in the movie, has already taken place and we get to follow it, through a video recording. In Quarantine, a TV-reporter, Angela, played by Jennifer Carpenter and her cameraman, played by Steve Harris are covering the night shift on a fire station in L.A. You might recognize, Jennifer Carpenter, from the TV-series Dexter, with Michael C. Hall, where she played Dexter’s sister.
They follows the firemen, to an apartment building, to what seems to be an ordinary routine. Well, of course, things develop to me anything then routine. When they arrive to the apartment building, they notice that the police, are already there and they also hear blood curling screams, from one of the apartments. They found out that the woman, living in that apartment, has been infected with an unknown, disease. When, other residents, in the building, is attacked, they all try to escape from the building, only to find out that the CDC, as put the building under quarantine.
The news reporter, cameraman and the other residents discovers that the phones, Internet and television has been cut off, making them trapped inside, the building, together with the infected woman. Also, the officials, doesn’t seems to be willing to help them, either. At last, the quarantine, is lifted and the only evidence, to what has been going on inside the building, is the video material, from the television crew… We can see what was on the video material in the theaters on October 17.
