by admin on July 24, 2008

The third mummy movie, with Brendan Fraser as Chris O’Connell, takes us to the far east, to meet the resurrected Dragon Emperor, Emperor Han.

2000 years ago Han (Jet Li), conquered half the world. He was finally stopped by the sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) that sent him to bed for an eternity. Unfortunately Chris son, Alex (Luke Ford), accidentally awakens the emperor and when the emperor is up, he starts to reassemble his army, of 10,000 undead warriors, to plunge the world.

Chris O’Connell and his wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) are now retired. However, when Alex, awakens the emperor and his army, Chris and Evelyn jumps into the action, accompanied by Evelyn’s brother Jonathan (John Hannah). Together, they will Alex to stop the mummy, from taking over the world.

The task of stopping the emperor seems very difficult, if not impossible. Besides the emperor’s huge army, he also posses control over the five elements. Nevertheless, the explorer family gets some help, from another undead army, the emperors sworn enemies, that has spend the centuries under the Great Wall of China.

You can follow the O’Connell family on their adventure, that spans from ancient China to the great heights of the Himalayas, August 1, 2008 in the theaters.

Due the fact that Rachel Weisz had different interests in how the screenplay developed, she didn’t reprise her role as Chris O’Connell’s wife, Evelyn. So in this movie, the character Evelyn, is played by Maria Bello. Also, since Chris and Evelyn’s son Alex is now 18 years old and is played by Luke Ford, it’s only Brendan Fraser and John Hannah that has appeared in all the three mummy movies.
