X-Files I Want To Believe

by admin on July 2, 2008

July the 25th, it’s time to get to the theaters to enjoy the X-file movie, I Want To Believe. In true X-file-spirit, the plot of the X-files is a well kept secret. However, there a few things that has been revealed. The movie is based upon the shows most beloved episodes and takes place around six years, after the series.

The story in the movie is said to be stand-alone. But, my guess, is that the producers has left at least one back door, in case the movie is going to be a huge hit. Nevertheless, I Want To believe, is said to be a thriller/horror movie, like the ‘monster of the week’ episodes, in the series.

Moreover, the story takes the complicated relationship, between Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Andersson) to unexpected paths. Like in the TV-show, Mulder continues on his quest, to find out the truth and Dana, the passionate and intelligent physician, remains tied to Mulder’s pursuits.

Director of the movie is, of course, Chris Carter, that directed over 200 episodes of the series. So I guess that, we can be sure of that movie would feel like the series, did.

I have found an very interesting interview, with both David Duchovny and Gillan Anderson, at Duchovnu.net, where they talk about the production of the movie and how they feel to enter their roles again, after such a long time and their favorite X-files moments.
